Finding a trustworthy local professional or freelancer is still slow and uncertain. We're building a marketplace where people can describe what they need, compare quotes and choose with more confidence.
Document tools
Small document jobs — editing a PDF, converting slides, merging files — often mean installing software or wading through clutter. We're building simple browser-based tools for these everyday tasks.
How we work
Kakis Labs has no employees. The founder sets direction, makes decisions and reviews the work, with AI agents helping across engineering, design, research and operations. We're still shaping this way of working, and some roles below are plans rather than practice.

Our name
Kaki (柿) means persimmon in Japanese — the founder's favorite fruit. A persimmon is best when it's given time to ripen into something soft and sweet. That's how we like to build: patiently, until it's genuinely good to use.
And the polar bear? People keep telling the founder they look like one. We took it as a compliment — and a mascot.
